To the best darn tootin' Country and Western Extraaavaganza this side of the Ol' Man Mississippi! Dunoon knows how to throw a party and this year's Ho' Down is no exception.

Dunoon is very proud to be playing host to so many talented musicians. We are also delighted that they are followed by the cowboys and cowgirls that bring to Dunoon the great buzz and excitement of a Buffalo Bill Wild west Show.

The Dunoon Country and Western Extravaganza just keeps getting better and better. The cream of the U.K's Country and Western Scene are coming to Dunoon! With our bands playing at spaced intervals throughout the weekend there is a chance to see everyone.

This year we have 10 venues to choose from. From our smaller venues that bring life and intimacy to country ballads and acoustic sets, to huge dance floors where you can't help but swing your partner by her hand, Dunoon has you covered!

Also on this website are the details of especially cowboy and cowgirl friendly establishments which will take great pleasure in making sure that you are well fed and well rested for the weekend's exertions!

If you have any questions please e-mail me, or give cowgirl Lorna a call at the Queen's Hall 01369 702800

This year's festival gets a great start when the doors of the huge Queen's Hall are thrown open for Friday Night Foot Stompin' with Steve James and a Country and Western DJ.

From 7pm 'till 11pm the Queen's Hall will be the place to hear all your favorite tunes, and some new ones as we attempt to raise the roof and get the weekend off to a flying start.

Not only will the music be fantastic, but included in the £5 ticket will be a tasty hot dog and refreshing cowboy cocktail.

Steve James has played at the Dunoon's Country and Western weekend for the last 4 years. We can think of noone better to get this years event off to the start it deserves. More about this year's artists
